When you are ready just let me know. Love showing folks around our part of the world. I've done 3 MTN bike trips in the US . In fact i was just reading about the Bootleg Canyon trails outside of Boulder. I've never done any boating or fishing there tho'. After travelling around the US I...

Adventure on Mohave Lake, water skiing

Looks awesome, lots of fun and i like the single ski. I recall we drove over Hoover in a 27' RV that we hired in LA several years ago. I was so stressed out from the busy drive that I missed how beautiful it is.

Need some help from you Northeast guys!

Reminds me of the ones in the mediterranean which have enormous pulpits as well as masts that look like radio transmission towers which they use to spot from. Hard to believe they have been doing it like that for centuries.

    3 OR 4-Bladed Prop??

I'm currently running Solas 4 blades 17" pitch on f225's the 18" were too big. Obviously a different boat and motors but I have to say I'm really impressed with ability of the 4 blades to get on plane and hold plane at lower revs. We are getting 40knots lightly loaded (no sacrafice in top...

Thanks Bill , I got it all on reasonably easily and yes the pump is working I went thru the dockside and rudder test and that all worked. I haven't done the sea set test yet and I believe there are other checks / tests that can be done at the control board? G man had some other ideas last time...

    265 Owners

I'm not familar with the Gulfstream, haven't seen one over here. I noted you are interested in 2001 265 which has the 22deg deadrise so should give a better ride. I had 200hpdi's and they are awesome motors, perfect power to weight, for the 265. Unfortunately we melted a piston so repowered...

Auto Pilot Computer Placement 265 Express

My AP11 computer is mounted on the rear wall of the cabin beside the stairs. No problems so far. The pump unit is mounted were you had yours and i have just had to have the motor rebuilt due to rust......As Tom says it is a wet and difficult place to work on it. The Compass is mounted in the...

Sew zipper smiles in eisenglass front panels?

Well at least i can understand why, you would even consider doing your own zippers! I go straight to the shop for that. I certainly don't have the skills or machinery to attempt it. A few folks here buy the old retired fishing trawlers and convert them into great cruising boats. The older...

Sew zipper smiles in eisenglass front panels?

The two types of boating are just so "worlds apart" . Whilst plastic boats serve their purpose it must be difficult to make that transition from the beautiful craftsmanship and really the "made with love" of those boats to even a Grady. Bring on the pics. I also have on my office wall a...

Sew zipper smiles in eisenglass front panels?

Wow Chris that was a beautiful boat. I can't believe the price...... I drewl over old, stylish, timber boats; and I think one day I'll end up with one but then I look at all the bright work etc and realise I would never be able to maintain it to the level that I would want. If money...

    new grady owner

Also inboards can be problematic if moored.... And these days most outboards ( this is a genersalisation......)have outgrown the reliability issues of past and are seen to be less work than inboards. Having said all that, I had merc 454 with bravo2 and it was a sweet combination. I...

    Finally I'm a Grady owner!

I had the same model motor on a 6 mtre yamaha hull and when I sold it she had 800 hours and I would have driven it around (the outside) Australia she was such a reliable engine.

    Props for 265 with 225 4 strokes

They seem to be using more fuel than I would like. I wondered if the carbon meant they are running too rich? The local techs are saying the fuel economy will improve with run in. But I'm expecting a more than 10% increase given the numbers on the Grady/ Yammie performance report. I can't...
