The “backbone “ doesn’t run to motors. There is a Suzuki cable harness from motor to gauge. The gauge converts engine information to n2k format and puts it OUT onto the n2k network. The gauge receives gps data IN

Its all the same problem...making it the best it can be... Need Chartplotter in front, low enough to not blind you looking out at night. Lots of space for a 12". Gauges and switches off to side because you don't really need to look at them much. That upper MFD would kill me at night. That low...

That's right. There are however other cables to the gauges from the cable harness and the fuel senders connect to the zuke cabling so the gauges can "digitize" the value and put it on the N2k. IDK if they changed anything since 2020. IDK if your "manual transmission, AM radio" motors use...

hehehe... I see that dash and I want to move EVERYTHING. 12" touch screen where the gauges are, Gauges where the switches are...., other sonar up in the hardtop so you can see it from fishing position...

that is a Device drop cable. You may need one of those for your garmin. You will need to go from the zuke backbone to n2k backbone so you will need something like this. Depending on which end you extend, you may need the female version. You might find just an adapter without cable. These...

Oh uhg so Raymarine uses its own different plug design for n2k. That sucks... Its my understanding that they use N2k standard but just have different plugs. So everything I say applies except the plugs are different. There is some engine data from the zuke side that will display on n2k...

    Refrigerator...

If your boat is at a nice marina with a pool and patio tables and you use it as a weekend getaway "camper", then a fridge makes sense. You can have the ketchup & mayo & icy cold bottle of vodka always there... if you just make day trips, a cooler is way more useful. And the space that the...

what will you get on Axiom that you don't already get on 9" garmin and 9" Raymarine? You can connect zuke to N2k but you need an N2k power isolator. The zuke gauges get power from "their" N2k bus. If you connect that bus to your "Boat" N2k you need the isolator which (internally) only has...

    Automatic Trim Tab Controls

So I can't find the threads were we lamented 265 express trim tabs. Must have been someone elses thread. I would have tagged it 265 express and Trim Tabs. The jist of it is that they will yank the boat over when you turn a few degrees. If you had indicators it might help. There was a kit that...

    Automatic Trim Tab Controls

265s have special short actuators. The sensor in the new kit won't work on the existing pistons. the shaft is short. I looked into it in the past. I'll try to find that thread. Also, tabs on 265x suck and hurt more than they help. Put em up, pull the fuse. :) ____________

    Bilge pump wiring woes

Ok if we’re going to figure out what is specific to your boat, we need more information. Which one of those crusty green switches in the picture is your bilge auto manual switch? Which wires on which switches are you saying are the manual wire and the auto wire? Show us the top of the switch...

    Polishing fuel

I agree I would not burn bad gas in my car. He said the boat ran fine. I'm going under the assumption that the gas is usable. It has year old gas and he's worried about it going bad. Cleaning it won't make it new gas. I would not add new gas to 100 gallons of year old gas unless I was going to...

    Bilge pump wiring woes

Was the original switch an Auto/manual? My Grady and many others only had a Manual switch. The "auto" float switch was fed from a battery. It may have connected at the battery switch COM terminal so it would not get shut off when the battery switch was off. There was a blade fuse holder...

3M Finesse It 2 works pretty good for what you describe. Then needs wax... Oh....not done by hand.... forget my recommendation...I didn't read..... You would need a buffer.

    Polishing fuel

If you have ~200 gals of 1 year old (or older?) gas you are better off removing it and burning it in cars & lawn mowers(assuming it is not garbage). Then clean the tanks and start fresh with only what you might burn in a season. If thats what you mean by Polish, then yes do that. Don't just...

    Scupper hoses

Think about using a better hose. I used 1.5" Series 148 PVC hose. There is no metal in them. Not rubber. Smooth surface inside & out. Great for clamps. Series 149 is black. There are others that will work well also
