    Lost my gas cap today...

No response. My salesman got involved. She said she is sorting it out for me.

    Lost my gas cap today...

This particular one uses a plastic retainer. Somehow it popped the whole thing off when pulling the nozzle out. Not sure why Grady went cheap on the gas cap.

    Lost my gas cap today...

I just find it very surprising that the biggest boat dealership in the area doesn't have a drawer full of replacement gas caps in the parts warehouse for the boats they sell. If this one from Amazon fits, I'm ordering another to keep on the boat as a spare.

    Lost my gas cap today...

What a fiasco. Called the dealership and talked to the parts person. The lady couldn't figure out how to get the part number for the cap so she took my hull number and said she would call me back. I called Grady White directly and within 3 minutes I had the part number, but they don't...

    Lost my gas cap today...

Fueling up at the marina and the nozzle got stuck. Had to yank it out and my gas cap is now in Davie Jones' locker. West Marine did not have a replacement. Anyone happen to have the part number for a 235 Freedom? Going to the dealership tomorrow to see if they have any in the parts dept.

Grady vs Scout in the 27-28' range

That's what we are looking for. Like you said, there just aren't many around for sale in the Florida panhandle. There are a few in south Florida. The Scout wins hands-down on looks and creature comforts. Grady's are first and foremost fishing boats...a bit spartan, but tough as nails. If a...

Grady vs Scout in the 27-28' range

I have heard that about the 275. Same beam as the 235. Long and skinny and a bit tippy. If we do eventually upgrade it will most likely be the 285.

Grady vs Scout in the 27-28' range

I'd be a dead man if I ever bought a boat that didn't handle the waves as well as the Grady no matter how awesome it looked. That's her main priority. Good thing I didn't get that sweet SeaRay I wanted....

    Jabsco Head; Lights Flashing?

Resurrecting this old thread because my light is flashing. I accidentally put water in there as I was attempting to fill the fresh water tank, and ended up putting maybe a gallon or two into the holding tank through the suck-out hole (excuse my poor terminology) before I realized my error...

Grady vs Scout in the 27-28' range

They even offered to have the interior replaced. They know that blue is a disaster and are desperate to get rid of it. Anyway, I think we made a decision. We are going to keep the 235 for a while. No real need for a bigger boat. So instead we just bought a little Boston Whaler Montauk 150...

Grady vs Scout in the 27-28' range

Yeah, the Legendary salesman already contacted me about that one. Offering a smoking deal on it, but I can't get over that hideous baby blue interior.

Grady vs Scout in the 27-28' range

I've been considering upgrading from the 235 to a Freedom 285, but then I'm also curious about the Scout Dorado 277. I don't know anything about Scout other than it has a great reputation and most people put them on par with Grady. Unfortunately, there aren't any in my area to go look at or...

    Ads

Yep. I don't have a problem with ads, but whatever setting has been applied to this forum needs to be dialed back. I have literally never seen a forum so flooded with huge-format ads.

    Ads

Management should really reconsider the ads thing. I've never seen a forum with such aggressive ads. Sometimes it's hard to see where the threads are. If I was a new person looking for a Grady forum and this popped up I'd leave immediately. Wall to wall ads with little breaks in the middle...

Is there a place to get actual dimensions on various models?

All very good points. The 9'6" beam on the 285 and the twin 300s is the deal maker. The 275 just wouldn't be that much of a difference from the 235.

Is there a place to get actual dimensions on various models?

I did that. They just show the basic stuff right off the website. Length, beam, weight...

    235 vs 255

My ultimate "upgrade" boat is an Auqila 32. But not ready to drop half a mil on a boat yet.
