I got the two side vent windows from Marine Glass Specialty’s in FL. Referred to him by TaylorMade, who owns Water bonnet, who made the Windshield. Apparently he bought a lot of the Grady Glass stuff . He’s hard to get ahold of, try to call him.

Rob, I was having some fueling issues I thought were related to my trailer orientation. Turned out both senders were bad. Worth pulling the floors and testing them, very easy to get the floor up to take a look at your tanks and lines.

My tidbit of advice ( based on experience!) : Don’t run it hard with the side windows open! Love mine, and you sound like you scored a good deal. Congrats!

Thanks fellas, gonna pull the floor this week as the offshore forecast looks kinda bleak. Going to replace a bad fuel sender on the Aux tank while we are in there, any sender recommendations?

2001 model year, bought it 3 years ago. We pulled the floor and changed fuel lines when we got it. It doesn’t have external fuel vent, looks like it vents to the tank? Anyhow, can’t get more than 30 or so gallons in either tank. Seems like it’s getting worse. Doesn’t matter if I am fueling at...

4200 for me, mine looked perfect when we took it off. There’s an Aluminum “plate” between two fiberglass sections on mine (265 Express) and we used longer SS screws and used a tap and die set up to secure them before dumping a tube of 4200 and spreading it everywhere

Get your fuel polished

Call GW Customer Service, give them the length you need and they’ll sell it to you. Just did this and on my 265.

One just popped up on THT, looks clean

I’ve got two automotive engine lifts and once it quits raining we’ll hook up the lifts to the lifting eyes, unbolt the motors and move the boat forward to access the transom. I am primarily doing this to replace the aluminum bang plate, no indication that the transom needs a full rebuild...

I’ve got everything in place to tackle this job on my 265. Just waiting for a weather window. Got the new style cap from GW. Will post pics when we get to it.

Anyone who says a 1500 Burb or 1/2 ton pick up can “easily” pull a 265 probably hasn’t pulled one. I pull mine with a 2500 ‘Burb with the 8.1, 4.10 gears and you can tell it’s back there for sure. I have the trailer so I can haul it out for storms, maintenance, etc. No long distance hauling, if...
