It's time to start re-upholstering my 2001 282 Sailfish (as well as replacing some of the original canvas/vinyl enclosure). Does anyone have experience removing the companion seat in this boat? It is a bench style companion seat.

I am running a 2001 282 Sailfish with 200 HP 2001 HPDI Yamaha engines. Last year, the filters in the engine fuel pumps became clogged with a fine white powder which may be aluminum oxide from the fuel tank. I hauled and had the filters replaced and the boat ran fine the rest of the season...
