Split the baby with a 305. Significantly more room on the 330 with extra foot of beam, but the Marlin/305 very manageable for single-handing. Marlin has additional foot of cockpit which is better for fishing, but I wanted to be able to have at least 4 safely at the helm when it gets ugly.

Congrats! I ran a gulfstream for 10 years with a single 250 often running 50+ miles south of MV. Expect you should drop to 15" pitch in swsII series. Will not be realistic to cruise 25-30 at 4K. I likely have on here posted pretty detailed performance data. My typical cruise was 4600-4800...

No firsthand experience on the 325 (and heavier than I would have expected), but I would go 300's without question. Only slightly slower cruise, better fuel efficiency and I can't tell you the amount of downtime my friends have experienced with the 350's.

That is the orientation on the 2011 305 Express and seems logical. I have the weight of aft generator. On long runs I generally have the aft box loaded with a lot of ice, so tend to be a bit stern heavy. I do find burning off the aft tank first results in improved running angle.

I also used Taco 1-15/16 clamp-on on my 2006 232. Was able to BARELY get a grab on the threads in the one position which would work for kingfish riggers. Good luck.
