    Bottom paint

    yes, if you are looking for speed and keep your boat in the water then a hard paint is better. If you are fishing/cruising then an ablative is the way to go. You need to use the boat for the ablative to work. If let sitting, it too will foul. Run the boat to keep the bottom clean.

    OX66 or F250 on Marlin

    Depending on the hours the Ox66s push the boat nicely. I have a '98 with original Ox66s and they run great and start every time. They are not known for their mileage but, not having to put on 4-strokes...that's alot of gas to make up the price difference.

    Grady White Marlin 2000

    I have a '98 Marlin with twin 250 Ox66s. Boat has plenty of power and top end...the two strokes are little noisier and smokes at start up. Gas mileage will be worse...that being said, I've had zero problems with my previous Ox66s and the ones that are one my current boat...and that's the most...

    really need guidance

    You've received some great responses....my marina has a couple used 07 250s and probably have 225s around to. I'm new to this forum and don't want to break the rules so email me if you want the name. The numbers for a used 06-08 4-stroke is thousands less then your $$$ number and the smarter way...
