    those with 209 escapes

On my 209, I simply unscrewed it, removed the caulk, and leave it loose. I built a shelf in there and store two downrigger batteries and misc stuff. On a 1993, it does drain to the bilge pump.

More Kicker Questions for a 228 (or larger)

I thru-bolted my T8 kicker to a similar solid bracket. 6 tamper-proof bolts plus a Panther lock over the threaded pad handles.

    Scupper Hose Replacement 272

Can't help with access, my GW is an old Escape 209. I did use white, flexible pvc when I replaced. There was wire inside the old, black hose.

208 Adventure Deck Hatch Gas Storage-Why Not?

I have a 1993 209. I use that space for electric downrigger batteries. Built a little shelf in there. I unsealed the hatch so it's easily removable. I don't see a problem putting a portable fuel tank in there as long as you get some air flow thru there. My kicker is a T8, so I just plumbed a...

208 Adventure Deck Hatch Gas Storage-Why Not?

Why not just plumb a second fuel line off your fuel/water separator?

Mine's 19 years old. Just installed SS scuppers. Transom was dry. Love my Escape 209. Only boat I've run that had 4-wheel drive.

Grady White Craziness on the Hull Truth...

People that bash Grady-Whites are simply frustrated that there are so few used GWs for sale. Most of the used ones are 30 years old.

    swim platform repair

I think that's a Garelick brand. Maybe they'll sell you a platform only. Or cut a new one out of StarBoard. New Garelicks are about $200.

    Mounting a Kicker

If it is, I'd remove the SS tubing and have a bracket built that will mount kicker at proper height, bolt to both transom and swim platform. The centerline of the bracket would go right about where that SS tubing is. There's a guy in Vancouver, BC that can do it. This guy...

    Mounting a Kicker

Pictures would certainly help. Assuming the main engine is mounted to the bracket, I think the kicker may be too low if you use the bracket you linked to. Wouldn't want to swamp the kicker. I used an aluminum transom bracket similar to one shown on Adventure Marine and mounted it so my...

    Mounting a Kicker

By swim grid, do you mean the plastic platform with the SS ladder and SS tubing? Are you going to control kicker remotely or tiller only? Or EZ Steer rod?

    Mounting a Kicker

OK, I'll bite. Although pictures would be nice. Is the kicker power tilt? Is kicker for trolling or just emergency backup? I put a T8 with power tilt on my Escape 209 by purchasing a welded aluminum custom fit bracket from a guy out west. I'll find his name if your interested.

    Overnighter ID hull number

My 1993 Escape 209 ID # is on the transom on the upper right area. It's hard to see, it's stamped into the gel coat with no contrasting paint. Good luck. Otherwise, Grady White Boats can help you.
