    Work while replacing fuel tank

I have a 1989 Tournament 19 that needs a fuel tank replacement this off-season (relatively soon in Maine). I've read older posts and have already contacted RDS aluminum. Any recommendations as to what other maintenance I should consider while I have the tank out? I'm considering a new fuel...

    Bimini Sliders - Stainless

I just had a new bimini made for my '89 Tournament and my slides need help. I'd like to replace them, but I'm having difficulty finding stainless slides, they all seem to be plastic. I'm looking for side mounts, and the choices are limited. Any ideas?

    Back to back seat install

Funny you ask as I just came inside after replacing my back-to-back seat with a new one from Veada in my '89 Tournament 19. Must say I'm impressed with the materials they used. I used the same screws used with the old one, 2" stainless with doubled stainless washers above the 3/4 ply. If I...

    Stabilized Fuel with Ethanol

I've heard there can be issues with E90 gas that sits for an extended period of time. I'm in Maine and we took my 19 Tournament/1989 130 Yamaha out in October. I stabilized the fuel at the time. Is there anything else I should be doing prior to firing her up again this weekend? I was going...

    Starter Issues?

Turns out the issue was a frozen starter. After sitting for 7 months, it didn't feel like moving. My mechanic is recommending a new starter given the age. Thanks for your help. She runs great and was introduced to Middle Bay off of Brunswick/Harpswell Maine on Sunday. Thanks.

    Starter Issues?

I have an '89 Yamaha 130 on our 19' Tournament that has always run very well. I was testing the engine to prepare for launch this weekend and I get nothing. I'm wondering if its my starter. All other functions (battery, choke, gas, etc) are fine but the flywheel doesn't move at all but I hear...

Need advice on a Tournament 185 Purchase

Thanks guys. I agree about the larger boat. Most of our territory is pretty sheltered but the option to go further out is there. Ideally I'd like to work my way to a 205 or 225, as the Tournament is the perfect boat for the family. I was thinking this is a good way to get a little closer to...

Need advice on a Tournament 185 Purchase

I stumbled upon an opportunity to purchase a 2004 Tournament 185 with a 150 Yamaha 4stroke. The engine has 165 hours on it and the hull is fresh water only in great shape, no bottom paint or staining. I have an '89 Tournament 190 so this seems like a huge upgrade. I did some quick research...

    Boating in Maine

We live in Brunswick and keep our Grady at Paul's on Mere Point. Very reasonable (similar in cost to the Dolphin) but fills up fast. I think there's a waiting list right now. Good to see other Grady owners on the site. Hopefully we will get out there in April if the snow ever subsides...

    Death of a 19' Tournament

That's terrible. We have an '89 Tournament in great running condition, so I know what you mean. You can't find a replacement for "what its worth." There are a lot of Tournament owners out there looking for original parts in great condition, is there any way you can get your hands on anything...
