Thanks for the replies guys, and the link , some great ideas. I am leaning towards moving the gauges I decide to keep up to a panel in the current electronics box and installing a 12" screen in the vacated area.

Thanks Pez, If I am looking at this correct your screen is flush mounted where my switch panel is located? I don't mind that idea but wonder how the screen is to read when underway , seems it would be maybe to flat ?

Went from a 21' to Sailfish 282, it does take some getting used to. The simulator you posted is pretty cool.
