    GPS fuse trouble

Hi Guys, I really could use some help. I have a 2014 208 Adventure. Earlier this summer, while in the middle of lake Erie, I lost my GPS and of course autopilot and plotter. Rebooted, and checked fuses. Nothing blown. I want in to my Grady dealer who installed the electronics. He removed the...

    rub rail repair

While trying to load my new 208 at ramp last week, in a wicked cross wind, I caught the marina's sidewall corner and scraped the rub rail and gouged about an inch of the rubber. Today I noticed the scrape on the stainless was rusting. I know the first ding is the worst and I will probably have...

    Marlin Rod Holders

I recently installed Cisco gimbel mount rod holders on my 208. Thry are rock solid, adjust to every conceivable angle, machined from solid aluminum and made in the U.S.A. I installed a pair of the triple rod holders. I believe they have holders that can accommodate at least four rods. Google...

    adding left wiper

While returning to marina in Erie recently, I ran into a very thick fog bank that reduced visiblity to less than 100 yards. Navagating wasn't a problem, but I was sure severely puckered up for fear of a collision. The view through left windshield was 0, for all practical purposes. My 2014 208...

    How much line will fit?

I have 150' of 1/2" line in my 208's locker for a Lewmar Pro Sport windlass. I have been told that I could do better, lengthwise. Could some 208 owners please advise as to thier locker capacity. Surely, there must be a definitive answer somewhere.

    need advise on rode length

Thanks Tuna Man I just heard from Lewmar. They do not manufacture any windlass' that will handle 3/8 line. I guess that's that!

    need advise on rode length

Than you gentlemen. That confirms everything I've read or heard. My anchor is a Fortress rated for a 16-27 foot boat. It feels very light and constantly jams up on retrieve in the roller and requires me go to the bow and knock it loose before I can drop anchor again. Pretty much defeating the...

Adventure 208 - Lewmar Winch - rope capacity?

I ordered a 2014 208 adventure with delivery to the dealer scheduled for January. Options for them to install include a Lewmar 550 prosport. After checking other installs in the area they thought the best, or safest, rope length would be 150 feet of 1/2 rope and 20 feet of 1/4 chain. As I will...
