    Escape 209 1994 boat cover

Does anybody have any experience purchasing a boat cover from the brands listed on I boats.com? I'm thinking about buying one from Taylor made for $350. Any feedback would be most appreciated. Thanks

A new way to install trim tabs

That's a great idea, if there ever is a next time, I'll counter bore the back side and bond some nuts. The current iteration has tapped holes in which I'll use machine screws rather than self tapping, but nonetheless, bonded nuts would be good.

A new way to install trim tabs

Ya, certainly more work than drilling and back filling with thickened epoxy. My take is that if there are fasteners that go into the wood transom, water will someday migrate through, even if a proper job is done with epoxy, someday you'll hit a big wave and something will have a micro crack and...

    Folding motor dam removal question

Sounds interesting, do you have a picture? I figured that it would visually open up the cockpit quite a bit.

    Folding motor dam removal question

I'm doing a complete restoration of a 1994 209 escape and the project is coming along great and will be in the water in the spring in Toronto. The starboard folding motor well dam has been used as a fish or sandwich cutting board by the previous owner and looks pretty chewed up. As it seems...

Re: Would anyone be interested in having starboard work done I have a 1994 grady escape 209 and would like to replace the aft corner seat pieces as well as the motor well folding dam. I can send CAD drawings or whatever.....
