Since you've determined there's a break in the wire that's causing the speaker problem, you can take a length of new wire and tie it to the old wire. Then carefully pull the old wire out while pulling the new wire in. It may help to put tape on the knot so it doesn't snag as you pull it through...

Did some digging in the bilge today and found that the fuel tank area is separated from the bilge by a bulkhead, but it has a pass through at the bottom. There is another bulkhead in front of the engine, seperating the bilge from the engine compartment. I'm probably going to pull the fuel...

I have a new to me 1981 221 Pacific, and I'm trying to clean oil out of the bilge. Are the front and rear bilge areas connected under the fuel tank, or are they separated by the tank? Thanks.

I just bought a 1981 Pacific 221, and the previous owner told me he changed the oil by draining the engine oil into the bilge. Further proof that some people should not own boats… Any suggestions on how I can clean the oil out of the bilge? I started with a degreaser from the automotive section...
