I have a fisherman purchased new in 2015, my aft bilge is always bone dry, even after heavy rain. The deck plates sit flat and the gaskets are tight however I have never checked the front of the boat.

A late model 209 with the 200 four stroke Yamaha should do 45 with a light load and flat water. I've had that and it's a great hull and can attest to the numbers. I agree with the other comments that if WOT performance is what you want this is not the boat.
