    Trailer opinions please...

You could also try Road Runner trailers just across the border in Vancouver, Canada. They have a very solid reputation and you may save with the exchange rate. The Tuff trailers are very nice also!

    Switch Markings

The Ace Line hauler with the hands free attachment is great- the rope coils nicely into a bucket, which is handy, especially if you are by yourself. I added a dedicated Scotty plug just for the hauler and ran it with thicker gauge wire and a 40 amp breaker which has helped as I used to blow 30A...

A set of the ball valve suppers will help instead of the flap type

    First Seafarer Question

I have a 1991hull, last year before the SeaV2 hull. I have not been in a SeaV hull but I think mine overall rides awesome and quite dry . Again, I cannot compare it, I would love to, but very happy with the older style hull. I am on the West Coast BC and am sometimes in nasty stuff. It is an...

    Trim tab not working

I had the same problem with my Bennett tabs. The first time it happened, I replaced the whole hydraulic unit at the suggestion of my mechanic ( who I no longer use!) . The tabs worked for a hour or so then same thing happened. The tab would stay stuck down unless I bled the pressure off from the...

Crack near or in transom? - 1991 Seafarer 228g

Thank for the replies so far! It is a bit of a mess back there for sure. The Trim tab power unit is definitely not working and I think a lot of the general filth is spewed hydraulic oil from the unit ( the lid not on is my fault, I was checking it out and didn't re tighten). I just assumed...

Crack near or in transom? - 1991 Seafarer 228g

Hello, I am looking at purchasing a 1991 Seafarer and this is my second inquiry ( newbie!) to all of you. I am getting the boat surveyed in a few weeks time , but just came across these cracks, Starboard side. just above the switch in the battery compartment. The crack does not look fresh by...

1991 Seafarer 228g-Should stern/scuppers be so low in water

Re: 1991 Seafarer 228g-Should stern/scuppers be so low in wa Well, just an update. There was quite a bit of water in the bilge when it was brought out of the water which could easily explain the low stern. It was freshwater which is good ( I think) as it was sitting in the saltwater for awhile...

1991 Seafarer 228g-Should stern/scuppers be so low in water

Re: 1991 Seafarer 228g-Should stern/scuppers be so low in wa Thanks for your replies. I did not check the bracket. My gut feeling is that it should not be sitting quite so low, despite the weight.

1991 Seafarer 228g-Should stern/scuppers be so low in water

Re: 1991 Seafarer 228g-Should stern/scuppers be so low in wa Thanks, SmokyMtn. I have figured out how to post photos, so you can see how low it is sitting. Th batteries are not AGM's... If I stood in the aft starboard corner, my feet would get wet. I am just not to sure if this is normal or not...

1991 Seafarer 228g-Should stern/scuppers be so low in water

Hello, I'm new to the forum but have been getting great information on Grady White's. I have decided the Seafarer is the boat I want to purchase for fishing and family adventures. I am currently looking at one that seems overall quite nice, however the first thing I noticed was it seemed to sit...
