Captain and 1st mate armrest are nasty!

I am getting cushions redone but what do I do about armrests? They are full of mildew and stains and will not come clean. My boat is a 2006 232 Gulfstream.

    Gas before or after storage

Pulling boat this weekend. I usually fill up both tanks and put in stabilizer. Do you all do the same prior to storage or wait until spring?

    No top end power

So as I read more about the earlier F150 engines, I have a 2005 and a 2006 and they both do have a small whining so I was thinking about replacing both Harmonic Balancers. Recommendation on where to buy?

    No top end power

So I miss stated above. The ECM was fine. It was however the wiring harness and two bad injectors. Plenty of top end but the motor still runs rough and has lots of vibration. Noticeable difference when idling over the other motor on how it shakes. Any ideas?

    No top end power

Ok - so after all of the parts replaced- ended up the ECM and wiring harness was bad and causing lack of fuel to cylinders 1&3. Mechanic took it out and said it runs great. I am picking it up tomorrow morning and dunking it ASAP and will advise.

    No top end power

So yesterday I took the fuel tank off my Boston Whaler and connected in directly to the fuel line north of the primer ball. No change, same issue. I replaced the filter fuel filter that resides in the small bowl with red floating gasket in the very front of the engine No change, same...

    No top end power

Here is a thought. As I stated earlier the port engine runs great and that is pulling fuel from the same tank however there are still other variables with fuel lines, fuel valves etc. I was thinking of connecting a portal fuel tank just south of the primary ball and see if this fixes the...

    No top end power

The motors are F150 4 Stroke Yamaha 2005 with 300 hours. I forgot to mention the VST was cleaned at the same time as the fuel injectors. I will replace the plugs just in case that might be the issue but I don't think that is the issue. When I max it out it does surge then the RPM's slowly...

    No top end power

I have a GW 232 with twin 150's. The starboard motor has no top end. The max RPM I can get is 44 and that is by throttling up and down, if I just leave it wide open I get about 38 RPM's. Here is what I have done so far. I have both engines pulling from the same tank to eliminate...

    Captains Chairs Arm Rest

They are nasty, I have tried everything to clean them. Anyone come up with a solution on how to cover them? Also what have you found to be the best product to clean mold and mildew from your seat cushions?

    Neutral Switch

I have a 232 Gulf Stream and I was having an issue with the Starboard engine staring. When I turn the key all it would do is click once. After cleaning all of the battery terminals and testing the starter I had the same issue. I believe my issue is the Neutral switch, if I turn the key...

Hull Taking on Water - 232 Gulfstream 2005

I put my boat in the water for the summer. While sitting in the water with no rain or washing the bilge pump seems to be going off more than I recall. What are the possible leak point other than the drain plug? When I installed the drain plug I did put tape on the threads, not sure if...

    Gas Cap Venting

So it is normal that if you overfill the gas will leak out of the cap? What keeps water from leaking in the cap if gas can leak out?

    Gas Cap Venting

I have a 2005 GW 232 with twin tanks (Aux and Main) that have Perko gas caps. More than one occasion if I fill the tanks up to the top the pressure will allow some of the gas to leak out from the caps and down the side of the boat and in the water. Especially from the Main gas tank. From...

    Water in gas

I have a 232 Gulfstream. Boat has two tanks and the perko gas gaps are located on the starboard side. The gaps turn down and the rubber o ring seats to keep out water. The main tank keeps getting water in it. I replaced the gas cap and with new rubber o ring and still taking on water. I...
