    336, 366 or 376 Canyon Cabin/Head

Being that the vacu-flush toilets flush with freshwater - no worries about the on-going smells that come from a salt water head.

    Replacing Lewmar windlass

On my 2003 330 I have the original Lewmar windlass and it still works great - I do re-grease it every season. I use 1/4" HT chain. I have settled on 1/2" mega plait line. I had problems with too much stretch using 8 - plait and it resulted in some slippage. I highly recommend the mega plait...

    Motorwell drains

I got tired of brass - I used fiberglass tubing and 5200. Hopefully, I won't need to ever worry about water getting into the transom from compromised drain tubes!

    2009 306 Bimini Transom

Thanks for the info - sorry for your situation, but I feel lucky that my dealer changed the aluminum to vinyl before I had the same problem. Your finished repair looks great - put it behind you and enjoy!

I'm interested in the 2.5" id cap - I sent you a message.

    Steering Wheel Cap

Beautiful Vizsla - if its behavior is anything like my daughter's Vizsla, it probably chewed off the cap! For the record, I like that dog anyway!

    2009 306 Bimini Transom

Out of curiosity, was the transom bang plate the original aluminum or had it been replaced? If original, was the aluminum corroded? I can't quite make out the bang plate from the original "before" picture. If not from the bang plate, do you have any suspicions as to where the water entry...

Small cracks lead to transom replacement

Not sure the reason for your transom rot, but I would recommend that any owner of a Grady with an aluminum transom cap, replace it with vinyl. Also, don't ignore maintenance on the transom drain tubes - the brass tubes must be replaced before they corrode or crack or you will have water seep...

    282 Anchor Recommendation

    I'd suggest more chain - 30 to 40' - you won't regret it.

    Sharrow Props

Very lively discussion with a lot of opinions. It seems that innovation is a contentious, winding, bumpy road. Not sure if the sharrow props are going to be successful and I certainly don't have any skin in the game, but I applaud the effort. I do feel that finding significantly better boat...

    Sharrow Props

Any comments about the new design Sharrow Props. Anyone using them?? Supposedly better performance and mileage - sounds like they may pay for themselves??

Grady white 265 express waste vent

I have a 330 Express and had the same problem. There is a mesh screen in the air intake fitting that attaches to the hull for the vent hose. I pried out the mesh screen - problem solved. The screen was corroded and restricted air flow.

Two questions - Sirius XM tuner and bait tank

I've owned a Marlin and now have a 330 Express with the same factory and added cockpit tank layout. I didn't have any problems with the factory tank performance. I would agree with Dennis - check the impeller on the pump (is it a Rule 1100?) for obstructions or even if the shaft is getting...

Actuator for 360 Express electronics box

In the above posts, I see mentions of part numbers GW300L-D, GD300L-D and GP300L-D. Which one of these is correct???? I have a 2003 Express 330.

2004 GW Express Cruiser Sink, Water Tank and Transducer questions

Pretty sure that dealers installed electronic packages, including transducers. I have an Airmar transducer on my 2003, installed by the dealer. On my Simrad MFD, you have to designate the transducer used, so you may want to take a look at your MFD settings to at least tell you what transducer...

    Repower 330

There were 4 round gauges before, now three round gauges do the job. The new round gauges will fit perfectly, so you'll need to fill the fourth hole. I decided to add a Sitex temp gauge. It fits perfectly and, being a fisherman, I like the visibility of the added temp gauge. I also like that...

A few newb questions about batteries...

If you're not sure of the age of your batteries - I suggest that you replace them. I religiously replace batteries every 4 years (I have 4 batteries on my 330 Express) - it's just not worth worrying about the battery's condition when 60 miles offshore. I have had great service from DEKA Marine...
