I’m planning on using a portable generator when on the hook. Really no room to install a permanent generator unfortunately.

I’ll post some pictures of how it was installed. Total bill was $7500 and I used Tony Sharp at Sharpe Marine in Fort Pierce, FL.

The self contained unit including the condenser is mounted under the v berth where the hot water heater was originally installed. I removed it to make room for the AC. Not much use for hot water here in South Florida. I’ll take some pics and post them soon.

I bit the bullet and had air conditioning installed on my 265 express. I can post pics and describe the process if anyone is interested. Just let me know.

Anyone know what I can buy to replace the original Lewmar hatch on my 265 Express? It measures about 22 inches (the seal does. Not sure how to make an accurate measurement).

Job complete. Ordered the supports from sternsafe, removed the old ones with a dremel oscillator tool and installed the new ones with some silicone caulk. I was able to remove the screws on the port side support after cutting off the screw heads. Harder to do on the starboard side. Ended up...

Thanks everyone. I was able to use a dremel oscillator tool to cut the screws and remove the stubs with vice grips. Finished the long one today. Working on the short one tomorrow. I’ll post pics of the finished job.

I was able to remove the old supports but the part that is screwed to the windshield is frozen. Any tips on how to remove this? (See attached photo)
