Checked there, seems I can feel screw heads but they are buried under the vinyl. No way to access them without ripping.
Which is fine, but that is the point of no return.
How do you remove the padding around the V Berth?
Mine has some rips in it that I would like to repair or replace in the off season.
Seems the screws are buried behind vinyl. Are the panels glued in?
Not quite, have a few more plans for winter layup like rod holders, washdown pump, plumb live wells, gelcoat repair, etc.
Just changed my VST filter, that was fun.
Thanks Russ. I’ll send my address.
The Bimini there now works but is ripped on the top, no enclosure and the bows are bent up bad. I straightened everything best I could but yeah. The canvas would help if shipping the metal is too much.
Very generous. Thank again, very much.
Me too. But if it’s between not putting in a holder or using screws, it’s getting screws.
There is no way to reach up over a foot after bending your arm under the seat to install bolts, let alone a plate.
I wasn't going to add backing plates for ease of installation as these will mainly be storage for rods.
Probably no room for plates, I may not be able to get bolts in some locations so will go self tapping screws if I have to but, swivels will definelty need plates.
Found this picture on THT.
I will finally have time to tackle this project, probably next week.
Got round 90 degree rodholders and caps for the bottom.
Fire up the hole saw!!
NAPA 60-1870 is no longer current.
The new part # is 6-1865.
But, both of those give you then entire blade in black.
KY Grady. That looks like a winner, have to check it out. Thanks!
This is what the black ones look like.
