Add an electric operated antenna mount

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. Had not found Atwood.

Add an electric operated antenna mount

P.S. Can't have either item up all the time as I store the boat in Dry Stack and the overhead clearance is low.

Add an electric operated antenna mount

For the VHF. Same reason. Bridges. Also, sometimes I "forget" to put up the antenna at the marina. Climbing out on the Freedom 325 is awkward to say the least. This subject first came up because it is absolutely impossible to put up the anchor light on my 2019 Freedom 325 without climbing up...

Add an electric operated antenna mount

My dealer has suggested that I add a motor mount to my Freedom 325 to raise and lower the radio antenna. Have any had this experience with a motor operated antenna system?

    Water from drain plug

Thank you for the response. I don't trailer but do approach our marina up a river at low speed, so no running on plane at the end of the day. The parts of the boat that drain to the bilge were an impressive list and these seem to be the source of the water. I'm like SmokyMtnGrady and am...

    What could Grady do better?

Here are mine: experience is only one boat, a new Freedom 325. 2019 model. The windshield safety glass gives interference when using polarized sun glasses. Shows a rainbow pattern. Solved by buying non polarized aircraft pilot sun glasses, but really. . . in a fishing boat? Do newer G-W...

    Water from drain plug

I get water out of the drain plug hole when I remove the plug on my 2019 Freedom 325. Happens most times. Is this normal? I get conflicting views from other Grady owners. Any idea about where the water comes from? Not a lot, but it will run and drip for 30 seconds or so. It may be wash...

    Window Hardware

Solved: I contacted Grady White and after some discussion replaced the small washer in the latch. Much less play and it works fine now.

    Door latch problem Freedom 325

Take a look at Southco pt. # MR-03-121-24. I believe the strike can be adjusted in and out with a hex wrench in the end. (I can adjust mine by turning by hand, but others may be stiffer to adjust), I just got back from a voyage in choppy seas and the dual console door still didn't stay closed...

    Door latch problem Freedom 325

After a long search I found the exact latch that Grady uses. Turns out the latch length is adjustable using a hex wrench in the latch end. I extended the latch on my boat by a small amount that allows it to fit tightly in the round strike. Will run this way and see if that works. Sure makes...

    Door latch problem Freedom 325

Great! Will explore Perko. Need a latch, not a lock and I do like the Perko line. Thanks for the quick response.

    Door latch problem Freedom 325

Our 325 dual console front seating area has a door that is closed in chilly air to avoid a “wind tunnel effect” at speed. Trouble is, it pops open, probably due to vibration. Stays closed for maybe 10 minutes and then bam, it slams open. Need ideas on adding some kind of extra latch to give a...

    Anchor Light

I finally figured out how to solve this problem. A little embarrassing. I stood facing the stern, with feet on both the Captain and Mate's seats, and with the overhead hatch opened. Then stuck my head up into the hatch opening. You can then reach the anchor light latch with your left hand...

    Anchor Light

Reason I can't leave it up is that the boat is stored inside and the clearance to the rack above is tight. Would not survive the first time. This boat has a power sunshade and I am concerned about just crawling up on the hardtop to put the light up. Concerned I may ding the sunshade...

Handrails and Rust...... How to address

Sorry. In my rush to reply I didn't get the package of material that I had in the garage and just operated from memory. Got it now. The material that the Grady factory recommended that I use is "3M Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 4000 UV". The blister pack # is 05280. West Marine sold it...

Thanks Roberth. Will try that on mine. Good idea.

Handrails and Rust...... How to address

I contacted the Grady factory about this problem on my new Freedom 325. Only the two rail ends on either side of the motors were showing rust as they entered the decking near the motors. The factory engineers' thought is that while Stainless itself doesn't rust easily, any fine particles or...

    Anchor Light

Can't find a way to deploy the anchor light on my 2020 Freedom 325 without climbing on hardtop. Any suggestions from others with this problem?

    Window Hardware

Have a new Freedom 325 (not a 335) and the small front window that swings up won't catch on the latch every time. It looks like it is latching, but when underway at speed, pops loose and comes down. The latch looks like the culprit. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? Thanks
