    Boarding mats

i dont think a mat is going to keep your decks clean. the only way to do that is to have a no shoe policy. thats what i do and it works

    Sailfish Cockpit Drains

just keep in mind that that is a cosmetic upgrade only. the old plastic drains are still likely brittle, and the hoses themselves likely are quite deteriorated

Home Depot has 316 stainless steel hardware

another benefit of being in FL, haha. i dont think our HDs carry anything marine oriented. my ACE has ss, but there is no grade marking. i just order everything from McMaster

    2004 300 Marlin "console"

for black, NewWire Marine has a nice matte black called Lux Matte. i think i still prefer the basic glass/gelcoat to match the rest of the console

was he able to confirm dry delamination or factory void vs water intrusion? if it was due to water intrusion, you are just fixing the symptom, not the problem.

    2004 300 Marlin "console"

everyone has a different opinion, but i wouldn't do the high gloss black acrylic panel. its essentially mounting your electronics in a black mirror. there's lots of distracting glare and reflections

call grady, they can probably send you a drawing. altantic coastal welding (fab shop in NJ) also has lots of grady tank drawings on hand

    Help a GW Newbie - De-winterization

also, make sure you dont forget to take the tape back off when you are done. it would probably just come off in the water without any problems, but better safe than sorry

    Sailfish Cockpit Drains

i just did the deck drains and hoses myself. it was about a day job and a definite pain. for what its worth, i didnt enjoy doing it, but i would do it again before paying someone else to do it unless they would do it for less than $300. what made it much easier is two things. 1 - i am 6'0"...

    Aft Seat Back Cushion

did you check with a different shop? i had my Chase upholstery 100% new custom made, and it was about 7k. the majority was missing when i bought it so there wasnt even much to use as a template. i cant imagine redoing the upholstery on one cushion would be more than a couple hundred.

    27 sailfish repower

those numbers arent too bad. im running about 2.4 at 30 and top out at 52 with my twin 250s. i guess you saved a lot on install though, probably almost 10 years worth of fuel, haha. it definitely doesnt sit low in the water with the single. its nice to see a grady of that vintage with the...
