Lithium battery size for trolling motor

I'm currently installing a Minn Kota 36V on my 204C. After a ton of research, I decided to go with 3- 100ah lithium batteries. I'm also going to install a NOCO on board charger.

    84 Overnighter Bilge Location

Feels Reel is showing the correct spot. In the 6" access hole. It's just about impossible to reach. I have my batteries on each side of the stern underneath the seats (if they are there) You can try to reach it from there as well. I put a new one in last year and have an issue with it, so here...

Replacing batteries on a Marlin 300

Hi, I just spent too many hours to count researching boat batteries. There are pros and cons to each type and each has special capabilities and or limitations. Lead acid can only use 50% of the rated amp hours and diminish after each cycle. AGM are somewhat better, both are suitable for...

    204C Repower

Thanks for the response, as I indicated in the post, my transom was redone 2 years ago and the boat has not been wet slipped. I sealed the splash well, no more aluminum trim or way for water to infiltrate. the Mercs are substantially more expensive but I only want to do this once.

    204C Repower

HI, I'm looking to repower my "82 -204C overnighter with a new 4 stroke. I currently have a 95 Johnson 175 , 2 stroke. Best I can tell the old motor weighs 370#. The new Yamaha's and Suzuki's are about 529 lbs. Looks form the forums that I'm not the first guy to go this route. Trying to decide...

    Transom Failure Incidents

I have an '82-204C. I saw the signs of rust around the u-bolts and the aluminum caps had been caulked with silicone. the tell-tale sign was when I drilled to put the transducer on. water squirted out of the hole that I drilled. I tore it apart and rebuilt the transom, 6 months later I'm back...

Transom Rebuild - follow my journey

Did the transom on my 204C 2 years ago. Took me most of the summer but I got it done. Spent just over $1K for the materials. used 2 layers of 11ply okume marine ply, 1708 biaxal fiberglass and about 5 gallons of epoxy. Final step was to fair it and paint with Total boat top side wet edge. Lots...

204 C gunnel rod holders water intrusion

Hi, my 82 204C has 2 rod holders mounted on the top of the gunnels. The side of the gunnels on these boats are closed in. Can anyone tell me where the rain/splash water drains into? I think that there is foam between the inside and outer hulls. My concern is about soaking the foam even more than...

    204c cockpit cover

Hi, I have an 82 204c and would like to purchase a cockpit cover. I found a company that sells them but only has patterns for 93 and above. I know the hull changed over the years but it sure looks like the cockpit area stayed the same. The only difference that I can tell is mine does not have...

    1982 204 Overnighter

No, I thought about using epoxy to glue it back on as many others have but I thought I’d get better strength by doing a build up and tabbing it in. I’ll post some pictures
