FS Garmin 4208 + accessories New England

Selling garmin 4208, gsd22 black box and considering selling the airmar in hull transducer attached to it all. Screen and sounder $500, when I can get to the boat I’ll figure out pricing based on exact in hull model for transducer, but it is the big yellow in hull airmar. Switching to furuno for...

    Benchmarking 2000 272 Sailfish Prices

Considering selling my 272 sailfish and finding inconsistent numbers between all of the boat forums and apps on sale prices. I’m sure this has been discussed a handful of times before but anyone have suggestions on benchmarking local market prices by region? Mine has full factory options...

    130 rod holders

I have 3 on my 272, all 4 bolt with backing plate. I made sure the core was dry, sealed the top and bottom with marine grade caulk and have had 3 years and all types of fish from giant bluefin to sharks on them with no signs of stress or fatigue on the gunwales. Make sure when they are installed...

Looking for a GW Sailfish or Marlin

If you’re still looking and interested in a repower candidate, I’m considering selling my 2000 272 sailfish as is (just had the port engine die and initial diagnosis is water leak in the power head waiting for haulout to get final diagnosis). Can let it go at a price where a repower to new...

    Overheating

Poppet valve. I did the same thing with mine resealing the lower and replacing the water pump, it didn’t resolve it (although I needed to do it), also replaced all thermostats with no luck. I replaced the poppet valve this winter and it fixed it.

2000 272 Sailfish good bad ugly

I currently have a 2000 sailfish 272. The good, great layout, great compromise for fishing and beach days, lots of great aspects. The bad… wiring from the factory is standard copper wire, and eventually no matter how good of condition it was kept it needs a full rewire to tinned marine grade...

Valise coastal liferaft storage 2000 sailfish 272

Mines a little big for those spots unfortunately but I have them a try. Hard to see the size relative in the picture but it takes up one entire side either helm or passenger side from floor to just under my knees and from the cup holder spot out to the aisle

Valise coastal liferaft storage 2000 sailfish 272

The door on my cabin is tight, after a couple minutes of forcing and pivoting I decided not to bring it below in fear of not getting it out. My friends ‘99 272 has a slightly wider door and it’d work with that setup but mines just too tight to get below unfortunately

Valise coastal liferaft storage 2000 sailfish 272

That’s what I was afraid of. I had a hard case but was told by Grady dont mount on the roof under any circumstances so didn’t but should have stuck with that one

Valise coastal liferaft storage 2000 sailfish 272

Any tips on where/how to store a valise raft on a sailfish 272 so it’s accessible but kept dry? First year with one and testing different spots before I’m launched there isn’t a great place out of the way but also accessible. Any insight appreciated.

WTB: Old style gunwale rod holders

Here’s mine, I have 3 of these all in similar condition. Let me know if you want them, I replaced mine with deep 0* swivel holders for tuna which sounds like what you’re going to be taking out. If you’re interested I’d consider trading if they are lee 0* swivel rod holders

Mobile Marine Electrician Southern ME/Seacoast NH?

Looking for a marine electrician somewhere on the Seacoast NH or southern ME. Long story short, was putting off a full rewire until next winter but after getting a transducer installed I’ve run into some issues with loose switch panel wires (I’ve replaced a handful myself but these are more...
