    Battery Charger Circuit Breaker

The battery charger circuit breaker on the AC side of the switch panel in my 2006 Marlin breaks immediately when activated. It happens both with shore power or generator provided AC current. All other AC applications (air conditioner, water heater, etc…) still function normally. I never had a...

    Unknown Reservoir

While prepping the boat for Idalia, I noticed there’s a small fluid reservoir inside the frontmost compartment under the forward berth. Anybody know what it’s for?

    Running Genset at Cruise

Should I expect any problems running my Fischer-Panda and AC while running at cruise speed? It seems like folks do, but I’ve never tried it.

    Good Electrical Lesson Learned

I knew I had a battery issue after a failure to start while bottom fishing a while back. No problem, changed the battery switches and everything worked normally. I made sure all the cells were wet and hooked up to shore power as usual to charge batteries when I got back. I checked my batteries...

    Starting Your Panda

I’ve noticed it’s taking a little longer to start my Panda diesel genset than usual. If you have one, how long do you normally need to crank it to get it going? Mine runs perfectly once started, but it’s taking about three or four 10 second cranks to get it going. Mine is 16 years old.

    Suzuki Props For Marlin

I just lost one of my 15 year old Yamaha 250s and rather than spend the $8-10k the mechanic says it will take to get it running properly again, I’ve decided that the day for the inevitable repower has arrived. So I’ve ordered a pair of Suzuki DF300APs that I think will be a nice improvement for...

    Long Term Refrigerator Use

I haven’t had my Marlin for long and I don’t regularly use the DC refrigerator, but we’ll be making a coastal trip soon and will be living dockside for several days and want to keep the fridge running constantly. I assume that it’s fine to keep the fridge running off batteries while hooked up to...

    Round Knobs for Seacocks

Anybody know where I can find a couple of the little black screw on knobs for the seacock levers? I’ve got two rolling around my bilge somewhere and don’t feel like pulling deck plates to look for them.

    Fuel Gauge Accuracy

I’m planning my first long distance fishing trip, so fuel is necessarily a concern. How accurate have you found the fuel gauges on your Grady’s to be? I have Yamaha Command Link gauges and my fuel level for each tank is indicated by 10 bars when full. I like to think that each bar represents...

    Vinyl Paint

I thought the armrests on my Pompanette helm seats were just dirty or had mold imbedded in them, but the folks I just used to detail the boat tried to clean them and said the vinyl was worn down and needed to be painted. I know about SEM vinyl paint, but have never used it. Is this something...

    Seacock stuck

I’m the new owner of a 2006 Marlin 300. Love the boat! But the livewell seacock and the A/C seacock are both stuck open. I don‘t want to force them, but I do want to be able to close them. Any advice?

    Pompanette Seat Bottom

The passenger side Pompanette seat bottom cushion on my 2006 Mariner slides into a couple of 12” vinyl/plastic mounting rails. Both have broken and need to be replaced. Does anyone know where I can find those parts?
