Aft bilge pump access canyon 306

On the 307 I have a hatch on the floor that lifts up. It is right in front of/under the flip up seat. On the CC I think this is not not made to open. My bilge pump is easy to access from this. If yours is in the same place (same hull right?) it might be worth it to remove that panel. Especially...

    ACR PLB vs InReach Mini

^^This. We are 50-70 miles offshore. I have a SpotX, EPRIB and PLB. Last two for emergency. SpotX for comms with preset messages...you get 10 and can customize them.

    New model Freedom 415

Biased opinion here as I own a Freedom 307. Started fishing on similar sized CC. After a few very wet Bahama crossings I knew my crew would not like that. So when I moved into a "fishing" boat I knew it was going to be a DC. Great day boat and very capable fishing boat. We HST in NE FL in...

    Sink - Sink hole!!

Out for a cruise Sat evening and had a bottle of wine in the sink with some ice. I hear a clunk behind me and see the sink collapse down into the cabinet. See pics. It looks like there were some L shaped white plastic clips that secured the sink to the countertop with just some silicone...

    Ceramic Coating 325 Freedom

It may depend on what compound you are using and how it is applied. With either Presta Super Cut or Starke Level R and a Makita rotary I could take down a 3x3' area in less than 5 min. Probably more like 2-3min. When I did my first coating I wasn't nearly aggressive enough with the rotary and...

    Never heard of any.

    Freedom 275 outrigger installation

It may not be as bad as you think. There are only the spreader lights and the anchor light there. Any radar, sunshade, etc is run up through the post in front of the helm, behind the windshield. When I had my rear top post bases rewelded they were able to jack them up just enough to slip...

    Center rod holder 232 Gulfstream

Yes all the time. And they are great for deep dropping too. We were high speed trolling here in this pic. But for regular trolling I use them for the short rigger position on each side.

    Ceramic Coating 325 Freedom

I have had my boat 4 years. I ceramic coated it in year one and just redid it this spring. The actual ceramic coating is easy. But the prep work is a ton of work. But honestly, if you were doing it correctly for wax, you would go through the same steps. Mine consisted of a heavy cutting, medium...

    Freedom 275 outrigger installation

Here are 3 pics. 1 is a 2023 275 with welded in plates on the frame. 2. Is an older 275 with the bases mounted with a backing plate inside the Hardtop frame. Sorry hard to see with the enclosure. 3. Is my 307 with same base as #1. If you have the plates already installed it should be pretty...

    Freedom 275 outrigger installation

There is a 275 across the slip from me and I will look at it today. Will try to send you a picture if I can my experiences the top on these freedoms have a thicker spot that is made for the outriggers. It’s a very simple installation process of just drilling the center hole and the four bolt...

    Center rod holder 232 Gulfstream

On my 307 I have a 0° swivel mounted in the gunnel between the two factory rod holders. The previous owner had installed these and I wasn’t sure I was going to like the 0° but it actually has worked well and I especially like the swivel.

    Sea-Tow membership

I would also add that the need for this may be felt differently, depending on where you boat. If you are mainly inshore or intercoastal may not be such a big deal. But if you were going offshore and some unfamiliar waters, it’s a good feeling to know you have options.

    No power to onboard charger

Update** Found the breaker and isolator. Both are under the Starboard gunnel. I had to lay on my back in the floor to look up under there. Not something I’ve had the need to do until now. See attached pics of the locations. Breaker wasn’t tripped and it wouldn’t trip when tested. Thought it...

    Sea-Tow membership

I have both sea tow and boat us. Some areas have better coverage than others. I’m fine with the $$ for the piece of mind. How much have you paid in homeowners and car insurance over the years? Few actually come out ahead unless you have a major loss. But if you do it’s worth it.

Awesome thanks. I knew there was an isolator but didn’t know it had a switch. I’ll check that tonight
