Do you wash down the fuel tank compartment?

Bleach is bad for any stainless steel down in the bilge area. Soap is better. Letting it dry over the winter is excellent

UPDATE Advice dealing with Moisture at the Trim Tabs

Agree with seasick re: 5200. Also, 5200 isn't the best under water. I'd use epoxy and redrill, sealed w/4200 or a poly based sealant.

    Power 225 up to 300 24 offshore

I had an '87 offshore 24 with the yamaha 200 2 stroke for 11 years. Once I change to a stainless prop, I never had a problem coming out of the hole, except when we had a giant in the cockpit. But I think the old 2 strokes made more torque than the new 4 strokes. And my understanding of the...

    Wipers vs no wipers

Even on a "dry" boat I've had to use wipers. Depends on sea and wind, directions and your speed and direction. Not to mention i've needed them in the rain.

    Towing 8’6” inflatable

Was speaking to Bill Baert the other day, and he was telling me he tows his 8'6" dingy from his 305 express all the time. Just have to have it tied off good, and go slow so the dink doesn't roll. He prefers towing his dingy vs a foldable in the cockpit, wants the cockpit space. I know a guy...

Transom Rebuild - follow my journey

Hate to say it, but GW lost us as a customer because of these problems. The GW checks almost all of the boxes, but they missed the transom issue, delam, etc. We really like them but for the aforementioned, so we're going with a different brand.

Transom Rebuild - follow my journey

Yup. What shocks me is that this has been going on since we has our GW back in 1987. And I'm sure the knowledge that the transoms are rotting goes further back than that. I love the the features of the GW, but the transom issue along with the delam issues on the GW's we've looked at are...

    How To Winterize AC System?

on our old tiara, there was a sea strainer after the seacock. Open the sea strainer, start the a/c and pour antifreeze into it until it's spitting pink (or purple) from the output. If you don't have a sea strainer, you might be able to put a 'T' into the line with a hose connector to feed it...

    Grady 360 Express 2008-12

I'm trying to understand (as well as help my wife compare) the GW boats we're looking at to other boats we've seen or owned. Outside of my first boat ('87 GW offshore 24), our other boats were inboards. LOA as I understand it was from pulpit to transom, not including swim platforms. So our...

    MFD's

i prefer multiple screens, small (9") if that's all the room you have, rather than one big cluttered screen where you have to hunt to find the data. for the past 34 yrs i always ran 2 screens. In the old days it was a loran, then a gps, and now an MFD in split mode with my chartplotter on one...

    Grady 360 Express 2008-12

I know this is an old post, but I just stumbled on it while researching 360's. We're looking for our next boat and are considering an '06 360 out on Long Island. Wonder if that's your old boat? Any thoughts on how the 360 compares to the comparable pursuit os? thanks
