Thanks Brian, I am not sure if i could fit a bigger tank on my 268 or the logistics of getting an entire tank sent from the USA. If possible I would prefer to replace the pump with either a Groco or other if they work just to see how it goes as we are in the middle of our summer so we are using...

Thanks for the information so far, to answer your question when I push the macerator botton I have no noise from the pump just the lights dim so the motor must be blocked or no good. I will have a look at pulling the motor out at this stage I am not even sure how to get access to it?

Happy Australia Day to Aussie Grady owners

We had a great day out on the water at jibbon just south of Sydney, enjoyed a few beers from a keg on the beach, a couple of snags on a bread roll and the weather was a perfect 34 C degrees. Probably 300 boats at the beach everyone having a great Australia Day.

1997 268 Islander head pump out problem

I have a 268 Islander 1997 which has an "electric head" with holding tank fitted from the factory. the problem I have is the boat pump out does not work, the lights show how full the holding tank is but the only way to empty is too have a marina pump out manually. The problem with this is the...

    anchor line - twisted

As one of the other guys mentioned get a swivel shackle where the anchor attaches to the chain. This will also help with the anchor always loading the correct way up when coming onto your bow rollers or bow sprit. This will also help with the anchor setting correctly and not upside down when you...

    engine covers

I have also been looking , have a look at this link as this company is now the official supplier for Yamaha. These covers protect the engine and also reduce engine noise and look very smart. They do also supply to the USA http://www.outboardcovers.com.au/yamaha.htm

What props should I be running

Thanks Brian for your help, I will make some inquiries about 17 & 19 inch props today. It would be great to be able to test a couple of options?

What props should I be running

I just checked the props and they say 21M which I guess is 21 inch. I have 3/4 fuel and bascially no other weight in fishing gear and on ly 1 person on board. Max revs were 5200 and 42 miles per hour which I beleieve with twin F225 Yamahas is both down on revs and top speed. I am sure with 3-4...

What props should I be running

Thanks for the info guys, I just called the local Yamaha dealer and they said the prop size will be in between the blades on the stainless ones. They also said that each prop will be $1000 for one and nearly $1500 for the counter rotating one (wouldn't want to be changing these too often)...
