    Where can I buy

Thanks for everyone’s help. I was referring to the swivel latch that keeps the plexi from bouncing around. It has a single screw and holds the plexiglass cover tight against the gel coat on the helm. There are two more that are used to keep the anchor hatch in the cabin closed.

    Where can I buy

This little device that has arm and swivels to keep the plexiglass lid closed? Mine are all broken and I’m not sure what it is called. TIA

    Hull Logo

I just bought the blue gold version on Etsy. I have not installed yet but quality appears pretty good. Font is slightly different but most won't notice.

    Marlin Bilge float switch

I'm just getting back to this. I cannot locate any PVC tube in any area. Under the port side berth hatch I can see hoses and wires run through an opening in the bulkhead but there does not appear to be any actual tube or pipe. A metal fishtape will not follow the same path as it meets...

    Marlin Bilge float switch

I think we are on the same page. It is the feed from the unswitched side that I need to replace and having a difficult time fishing a tape from the float switch aft. The tape seems to take a turn upward and never seems to make it aft. If I start in the rear bilge I can fish it forward but...

    Marlin Bilge float switch

And as to the wire disintegrating, the copper was almost "liquid" and the wire fell apart as I moved it to move backward to find actual wire. The end was lost into the rigging.

    Marlin Bilge float switch

I was under the belief that the auto ran a wire from the float switch to the battery switch panel. I found the rigging tube but there doesn't seem to be a path to move aft. There is very little room at the entrance to the tube that is very difficult to even get the fish tape in.

    Marlin Bilge float switch

I need to rewire the forward float switch in my 2002 Marlin. The existing wiring literally disintegrated so I can't use it to pull a new wire back to the thermal breakers at the battery switch. I tried fishing a tape back but it always gets blocked. Has someone done this or is there a trick or...

    2003 Marlin generator

I can answer two thirds of your question. I have the 7.3kw Kohler in my 2002 and could never keep it running properly. FinAlly pulled it out of the boat, brought it to a Kohler dealer where all repairs were performed and then reinstalled. This was done, the in and out, while the boat was in the...

    Shift and throttle cable

It was difficult to shift, hard to find neutral. No chatter just very stiff in movement. With engine off it shifted freely (I know I'm not supposed to do this). When running it was difficult to get revs down to idle, lowest was around 1300 and it took significant effort to find neutral. Made...

    Shift and throttle cable

Had difficulty shifting in and out of gear on my 2002 Marlin. Got better as day went on and seemed normal by time I had to get back into slip some hours later. Boat was last used about four weeks ago and no issues at that time. Might be time to change cables. What length on the Marlin? How...

WTT Grady White Escape 209 for a 180

    How about 1986 classic Montauk?

    Interesting Grady

Looks kinda neat and I can certainly imagine the functionality of having that additional space enclosed, particularly if it has AC. It does appear to be sitting pretty low in the water and not just in the stern. That may be a function of all the additional gear they probably have on board but ...

    Who is right?

You asked who is right. From The Official Boating Handbook of the Massachusetts Department of Natural Resources Improper Speed or Distance is not maintaining a proper speed and/or distance while operating a vessel. Specifically, it is illegal to operate any vessel: •At a distance from other...

    Who is right?

IMO #1 would likely be in the wrong. It may not be a marked no-wake zone but if it truly is narrow, only 20 yards wide then cruise speed is not apporpriate. Most states have no-wake regulations within a certain distance of shore or within confined areas and it sounds like this scenario may fall...
