I have had a 273 Chase for 21 years... Do not get too enamored with beam..I think the 271 is 9 6 and the 306 is 10 7. There is a reason some of the top tier boats do not have that 11 beam until you hit 34 feet...if you do not plan to do any offshore stuff no issues. Test drive them both in...

I did this in 2019 on my 273 chase with mechanical. Was not worth 5g for fly by wire and no regrets. 500 hours now. I did go from a 19p to 23p prop and that was perfect. Great motors and zero complaints.

Like someone said, all about tounge weight, also the trailer will flex more the further back you go so loading will get more interesting. Do not move it so far back to make the trailer flex up.

That is a lot of beam for a 30 footer...beam to length ratio is very important..there is a reason a lot of Cc do not hit that number until at least 32
