100 hr maintenance

I just had the 100 hour maintenance done on my yamaha 250. How do you stop/ re set the blinking on the dash everytime I start the engine.

I had gotten this from another site but haven't needed to use it yet, so who knows.
Press and hold "mode" button for 4 seconds to activate "custom" mode.
Press SET button to get to the MAINTENANCE screen
While the 100 hrs message is flashing, press MODE and SET together for 1 second to reset it.
Guy mentioned that if it didnt work the first time, turn the key off, then on , and try again.

Do this with the key turned to the on position. Do not start the motor and it should work.

I'm surprised that your mechanic didn't check this. Would make me wonder what else he did, or didn't do.
