The bilge access on my 192 is through two pie plates in the transom well. I am wondering whether anyone has ever replaced these two small accesses with a larger hatch, such as a bomar. Please advise.
While my 22 has the same, I don't think any kind of hatch in the splash well is a good idea, if it can be avoided. If putting in a larger, rectangular hatch, I would be looking to put it in the removable center deck section in front of the wave gate.
