I have been on this boat several seasons 23 years ago and at that time helping owner
with it and keeping it running.
This boat has been re-powered 3 X and last time it was re-powered was 7-8 years ago by the owner who is a car mechanic.
Since then in the water and properly stored 2-3 years after the last re-power.
The last 3 years sitting uncovered and snow and sun exposed.
* years ago he had to re build the rear deck and removed it to nothing.
he had it rebuilt but i had no idea what had been done.
The rear hatch cover is rotted and needs replacement. I have no Idea what the engine is like now.
This is a friend and is now not able to do anything to it anymore.
What should I offer him I was thinking if we got it running and there were no
engine or drive issues other than Mercrusers out-drive / water pump and standard maintenance.
I would offer $5000, when it hits the ocean and has no issues running.
