My roomate and i just bought our first boat, aside from the ones my family owned growing up. Its a 1979 205 Gulfstream. The starter is tempermantal and id like to replace it. I was told when we bought it it was powered by a chevy 357, which obviously isnt correct. I believe it could be a mercury 357 however i wanted to know where on the engine i would be able to find this out at? What other engines could it be? Any help is appreciated!
