1984 Caribbean 242.... Yamaha 225?

I need to find an engine for my Caribbean project. Junking the seadrive and adding a bracket (BTW, seadrive for sale ). Have my eye on a Yamaha 250 (1991) but also just saw a Yamaha 225 (ox66, 2000). Would the 225 be fine? Im not looking for a speed demon but at the same time don't want to be a slug in a put put boat.

2000 Yam 225 ox66

$4,750 with a ton of work done.. controls and gauges

1991 Yam 250 (was told cant be an ox66 due to it's year...can it be? )

I'm not sure, off hand, how the specs of the Caribbean compare to my Offshore (maybe you can check Grady's website), but my rig runs like an raped ape with the engine on a bracket. I have no doubt that it would still perfrom VERY well with a 225.
