1988 sailfish raw water pump

They are located under the livewell. You have to remove the bulkhead cabin stairs to gain access to them.

DaveH2Ofowl, Hows it going. Just remove the side panel located by the third berth. No need to remove those stairs. Both your fresh and raw water pumps should located on top of the fresh water tank almost directly under the bottom of the livewell. Remove the corner trim by the birth, this will allow you to remove the panel. Crawl onto the bunk and it's all right there. As compared to some of the other Gradys it is a fairly easy access. I just replaced mine two weeks ago on my '87 Sailfish. I had actually added a little grab handle to the panel a couple of years ago to make it even easier to remove. 8)

To remove the bulkhead where the stairs are I dont recall it being a major job. I just removed the trim and that exposed the screws holding the bulkhead in. The whole unit just slid out and the pumps were right there. If your small enough to lay in the port bunk head first and remove the cover I guess that could be an option too.
