After thinking about this for a year, I’m going to do it. I’m taking off the original 200hp Johnson’s and putting on a 2021 verado 350. I got a really good deal on the verado. The issue I’m facing now is mounting the engine. The Merc is a 25” shaft model. After taking some measurements it doesn’t look like this is going to work. It looks like the mounting holes will be too low and I’m not sure I’ll be able to trim up the engine. I have the sailfish with the lower transom with the folding door. Does anyone know if the 25” will fit? I looked into the bay extension kits but then for my model it says something about a driveshaft needed so I’m kinda scratching my head here. Any input will be very much appreciated.
