Hi all,
jumped (perhaps too quickly) on a 1990 Seafarer 226 whose transom door (divider?) was long gone. for safety, I rigged a temporary plywood barrier, but now I want to figure out a long term solution. one problem is that I'm not even sure what the piece was called so googling has been pretty ineffective for images, solutions, etc. so could anyone suggest:

1. the name for this piece so I can do better searches (to be clear, it is the partition--about 50"x15" x 1" between the rear deck and the open area of the transom or splash well)
2. any type of direct replacement that might be bought or fabricated (basically a straight board) or, better, a somewhat more functional, customized solution, along the lines of the later 226s . might be nice to seal the bilge hatch better and/or add some storage or removable seating.

thanks

(using search function and google for the other issues so far--scuppers & thru hulls, hoses, etc, but no doubt will have more questions for this great site, glad to be in the club, cheers)

for posterity's sake, I found the answer to #1 in an old GW catalog:

"fold-down motor well bulkhead"

still not too much info on replacing it though
