1992 254 Sailfish

Anyone have 1st hand experience w/ a 254 Sailfish w/ a 7.4L Mercruiser I/O?
I currently have a '84 241 Offshore w/ a Vortec SBC.......a bit concerned about the 254 being under powered!
Any/all info welcome.

No personal experience with that boat, but plenty of experience with similar sized boats and big blocks. Big blocks pack a lot of low end grunt - quite a bit more than your small block. Considering you're not going a whole lot bigger in boat size, I'd be very surprised if you weren't happy with the power. What drive is it mated to? Hopefully not an Alpha.
