1995 Johnson 200 Ocean Runner will not turnover on 1995 208

Just got my 208 back two weeks ago with carb rebuilds, lower maintenace and a new steering cable. Has alwas been slow to start, would fire up and die several times unril it would start for good. Same way after the tune up last weekend, but it started and purred like a kitten.
Today it fired up on first hit of the key and then died as usual. Tried to fire up a couple of times, but died. Eventually it would do nothing when I hit the key. Any ideas? Key switch? Neutral Switch? Starter? Relay? Other?

Sounds Youve got a fuel delivery problem, your getting spark as it is kicking over but not fully and carbs were just rbuilt so work back form there. fuel restrictions sound like the culrpit. Possible VRO pump problem. Check all fuel lines for cracks.

If it doesn't crank at all, check battery connections first.
If it does crank and does not run or fire, check the primer pump, you can override this manually by turning the red lever and cranking the engine. Once it fires turn it back. Mine went bad slowly over time, and I narrowed it down doing this.
