1998 grady 263 chase transom?

I just looked at a 98 chase , everything lloked great until i got to the transom, it only has a 250 yamaha 2 stroke on it but the transom had cracks on both sides where it connected to the swim platform, the owner put gray caulking in it ..is this common on the 263 chase , i'll try to post pics. the metal piece on the transom had also popped off one of the screws on the starboard star.

Chic...sounds like she's a flexing....may not be catastrophic...but caulking in the cracks is BS....get a surveyor to check it out...

i think i'm just going to walk on this one...too many unknowns. the owner said it's been like that since he can remember and that the dealer must have done it when he had it winterized..B.S. the caulking had come off towards the end of the crack , so who knows how much salt water go down in there and for how long...
