I am the proud new owner of a 2002 282 SF that needs a few things, including a livewell pump (pump has power, pump not spinning). The pump is the 1100gpm Aerator pump with the white body and red top and single outlet to the livewell. My question is how the heck do you get that pump off the seacock fitting? It appears to be screwed into the top of the fitting, but I've tried turning the body of the pump to the point where I was afraid of breaking the pump housing. I don't see any hose clamp or any other clamping device on the thru-hull, but maybe I'm just can't see it. Any advice would be appreciated.
