Did THE 2005 228 Grady White have an option of an aux fuel tank

Yes.
2006 was the last year the the 226/228 was offered with a 92 gallon main tank with an option of a 56 gallon auxiliary tank.
From 2007 the main tank was increased to 125 .

2008 was the last year of the 92 std / 56 aux optional setup.

Beginning in 2009 they went to the 125 standard and no additional optional tank.

The Grady White owners manuals have 2007 listed as the first year with 125 gallon tank.
