My yamaha F250 stalled three times and won't start again for three times in recent weeks. I have replaced a new fuel filter and a new water separator. The prime ball won't harden to bring fuel to the fuel filter. I saw bubbles in the fuel filter when I tried to pump the fuel using the prime ball. Did anyone had this issue? I called Grady white dealer. They said I need new set of fuel lines. Please let me know what's wrong with my engine. Thanks.

What year F250?
The fuel filter in front of the engine, under the cowling?
What kind of water separator did you installed? Clear bowl or full metal cartridge?
The F250's installed on my Venture 34 did the same, just died at planing speed, but restarted immediately.
I replaced them before i found out what the problem was.
When you have replaced fuel filter and installed a new water separator prior to having problems than there is most likely the problem, a mistake when installing it.
Double check if you made a mistake when installing either, you may cracked a original, old fuel line when connecting them to the new water separator, or there is a air leak elsewhere.
Just in doubt, if fuel hoses are of unknown age, just replace them in any case.

You should fill filters with fuel before putting the up. Make sure o-ring which should have been replaced is in place on engine filter. Replace fuel bulb-only good for a few years. May be fuel lines.
if you see bubbles in the clear fuel filter when you squeeze the primer bulb, it means you are sucking air. The first two places to look are the onboard fuel filter to make sure it is seated correctly. The second is the water separator/fuel filter again to check that the filter is seated correctly. Sometimes gasket material sticks to the underside of the flange and prevents the new gasket form seating correctly
Thank you all for the replies. I have tried to fill the fuel filter cap and water separator. It would run for a bit and then it stalled again. I tried to start again and it would not start. I have no fuel leak in the fuel lines from what I can see. I did not smell gas leak either.
