2008 225 Tournament

Hi all, looking at an '05 GW 225 Tournament to be based on the Chesapeake, but trailered up to NH and a few closer lakes as well. The boat I'm looking at seems to be in good shape with a Yamaha 225 4-stroke (350 hours). Does anyone have any feedback about the boat/year, or have any suggestions around things I should pay close attention to when checking it out in person/having it surveyed? Thanks!

That motor and year falls into the potential corrosion issue. Have it scoped, unless the work has already been documented.

+1 to what glacier says...my 225 Tourney is an '05 as well and the Yamaha 225 is so far so good.
It's a very fine boat, and if/when the OEM motor craps out I will certainly re-power. The current 235 Freedom model is the closest to our boats and looks and runs quite similarly, but goes for north of 150k these days.
A 24k repower on a clean and sturdy hull would be an easy decision.
