Just purchased a 2008 306 Bimini with Yamaha F350's. Currently it has 15.5"x 21p Yamaha props.
5,600 max rpm's = 49 mph with 3/4 tank of fuel and 2 people and no gear
3,400 rpm's = 30 mph @ 1.5 mpg. Same load as above
With a full load I figure I'll drop to 5,400 max rpm's and should be maxing at 6,000 rpm's.
Trying to determine the advantges/disadvantages of going to a 16"x17p or possibly a 16"x18p versus the 15.5" x 19p. I would prefer Mercury Enertia ECO's but I cant figure out the hub for the F350's (waiting on an answer from Mercury) or go with PT or just do the Yamaha's.
Any thoughts or input would be appreciated. If anyone has experimented with 4 blade PT's on the 306 Bimini or Canyon I'd really like to get your thoughts.
