2004 with twin 225 HPDI's, what props are you running, speeds and fuel economy? Have to double check what we are running but main concern is fuel econ seems a bit low. Typically gets around 1.3-1.4 MPG loaded down with fuel, ice and 2-3 people and feel like it should be a little higher than that. Speed isn't really a concern since it's usually too choppy to run wide out but clean trolling wake and fuel burn is key for us.

Fuel usage seems about right to me in the real world. It actually seems decent based on your load. If your hull has bottom paint, that affects efficiency too.
In addition the fact that conditions are frequently choppy will hurt mileage. Every extra 20-25 gallons of fuel is like carrying another passenger.
As to running at speed, note that the fuel burn rate between optimal efficiency and WOT can be almost twice for those motors.
The easiest way to improve mileage is to not run with a full tank if you don't need that much fuel ( dont forget the safety margin), keep the hull clean and as smooth as possible (no lumpy bottom paint), and once you find your optimal cruise revs, stick to them when at speed.

4-blade props seem to make a huge difference with the walk-arounds. My cav plates are under water at plane, are yours? Seems to be a common problem with the heavy boats. The 4-blades raise the stern, improve fuel economy, but reduce top end speed. The Propgods will lend you props until you find the right one. It's around $1000 when all said and done, so they say. I haven't replaced mine yet.
