My wife and I are looking into a 33 Express. Anyone have it with 250’s and how does it run compared to 300’s or 350’s. Recommendations please

I have a 2006 33 Express with F250s. We cruise offshore at 4800 RPM at 30 burins about 1.1 per mile. Love this boat and it rides big and has lots of range. I think if I were going to replace, I may just put 250s in there again. The newer 250s are a bit lighter than my 2006s. We have about 1,100 hours with no issues

As above, I too have a 2006 330 with F250's. 1,700 flawless hours now and love the boat and power.
I get a consistent one MPG as measured in nautical miles (more if measured in statute of course). I cruise at 4,400 RPM's with my 4 blade props and that gives me 24 knots roughly.

If I were to repower, I'd go with the F300's. The F350's are awesome but my boat is only rated to 600 max. HP. Good luck in your search.

Miller, I have a 2009 with the 350's. After having. several boats with "enough" power, it is nice to never have to ask anyone to "go up front until we get on plane," or worry that with a little slime on the bottom, It may take an extra time to get on plane. If you are ever on the lower Potomac (Colonial Beach), I will be happy to take you for a ride. We are headed to Solomons in the AM for the weekend, swing by and check it out.

2007 with F250's. Plenty of power, planes off fine, runs faster than most inboard boats of this size. F300's might be nice, F350's are great (in terms of pwer) but problematic.
