Read in a post that nothing sticks to starboard. Was planning on attatching strips of starboard to bottom of new fuel tank (alum.) with 5200 thinking this would hold. Anybody have reason to believe this will not hold?

Why use starboard? You don't need UV stabalized products in the bilge. Whatever you use, try the 5200 on a test piece.

Looking to create air space between tank and deck. Thought starboard would be perfect for this when glued to the tank would allow for any expansion/contraction as well as cushion the tank and prevent any moisture from being trapped against tank.

I once tried bonding starboard to fiberglass using 5200. It didn't work for me.
