New to this '89 204C. I am surprised that none of the built in compartments seem to be for ice, or are they? The two, one each on either side of the cockpit, have drains but do not seem insulated for ice. Am I forced to carry ice chests to ice down my drinks and fish?

I have an '87 204C, same thing. Both fish boxes at the ends of the walk arounds, port and starboard are insulated with better than an inch of foam and drain overboard. They are meant to carry ice. Even the rear bait well centered between the rear seats and in front of the splash well has that heavy foam insulation sprayed against the sides in the bilge area so that can serve as an ice chest.
If you stick your head into the bilge or open the access cover under the helm you'll see the foam. Believe me it is thick.
Mike.

Heres a link for you that I think you'll like. You can download the original sales brochure and owners manuals from Grady White.
How many other companies provide original sales brochures and manuals for their models going back to 1958 and for free?
Not many I'd guess.
