Has anyone ever mounted outriggers on a 208 adventure? And if so where did you mount them? Next year I plan on running my 208 offshore, 30/40 miles out to troll some tuna. All help will be appreciated!

I assume you mean gunnel mounted outriggers? I have not seen them on a 208, but I did see them on a 209 and they where mounted forward of rod holders closest to the bow.
BTW - I have the 208 and I think the bow rails are different than on a CC, meaning I'm not sure that configuration works. Going to follow this thread simply because I have access to a pair of outriggers from a friend with the 209 who doesn't use them

I have a 2005 208 with gunnel mounted Taco Marine bases and mounted them more forward than the factory location. It took some modificationthe bow rail but it’s well worth it for the clearance.

Access to the underside wasn’t too bad but helps to have ratchet extensions and not too big forearms.

Also had a woodworker friend make a jig to get the angle right. Hot glue it on to the gelcoat and knock it off with a hammer. The oscillating tool or chisel was used to split the thickness of the gunnel since the hole saw wasn’t deep enough at that angle.

Let me know if you have any questions.
